DIRECTOR OF BRAND STRATEGY – MID ATLANTIC STATE

We are seeking a Director Brand Strategy for our fortune 100 client. In this exciting role you will develop and lead new marketing mix and spend strategies for US Acquisitions business. You will develop strategic portfolio marketing communications, and partner to assess and implement segment and market specific campaign focused on delivering the highest ROI. This position reports to the VP of Brand Strategy for Acquisitions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a multi year, multi-market media optimization effort focused on mix, spend, messaging and creative streaming.
• Develop and execute marketing plans for multi-channel integrated campaigns that build brand and drive business results
• Leverage major marketing campaigns, sponsorships, new product launches to identify and execute scalable local/national marketing programs to drive business results
• Drive enhancements to the user experience on our website
• Lead our online merchandising strategy and marketing communications for our client's consumer products
• Generate competitive intelligence to stay abreast of market developments
• Work with our market research department to glean consumer insights to inform strategy/projects
• Partner cross-functionally with: Marketing & Analysis (P&L owners), other Brand teams, Operations, Legal, etc.
• Review analysis of outbound marketing metrics to identify key consumer insights/trends and recommend strategies to maximize integrated marketing campaign results
• Partner in assessment of overall effectiveness of marketing initiatives and investments.
• Oversee agencies and other vendors as required

Basic Qualifications: (REQUIRED)

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited College/University
  • 10 years experience in Brand marketing and Brand communications for a leading consumer brand
  • 5 years experience in managing a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Marketing or Quantitative Analysis
  • Experience in financial services, insurance companies
  • Experience at a top innovative company that’s known for integrated marketing and/or Branding (e.g.- Apple, P&G, Zappos, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
  • Superior presentation and communication skills
  • Project management and multi-tasking
  • Superior strategic thinking and leadership skills
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical skills
