Director, Retail Marketing Analytics & Client Strategy

This position can work virtually in Chicago.

OVERVIEW:

Our client is a progressive, Marketing Solutions Firm dedicated to helping clients more profitably manage their customer base.  They are rooted in analytic or technology-based marketing solutions. In this role, your focus will be bringing analytically driven thought leadership, insights and recommendations to clients in the retail industry.  We are searching for an established Account Retail sector lead that can both successfully guide major client brands data driven campaigns and additionally manage the delivery of data analytics to optimize each programs success.

They will lead teams of Client Services professionals in the strategy & execution of business plans. Partner with Technology Services leadership to execute against client deliverables. This position will provide senior level analytic expertise and thought leadership spanning retail clients, projects and project teams.

Members of our Client’s Strategy Group have backgrounds with top strategy consulting firms, leading Data Technology & Marketing Services Firms. This role will directly work on innovative analytic client projects and data analysis to build fact-based recommendations and support decision making to drive practical applicable business strategies. Work directly with senior client business executives and analytically savvy clients to drive analytic strategies and revenue-generating projects.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop skills in strategic data driven analysis, lead a variety of complex strategic and organic business development.  In addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive global initiatives across this firm products and services.

This position will develop data-driven marketing models that integrate comprehensive and holistic marketing plans based on customer behavior that seek to more effectively use prospect and customer data to produce and execute. Be a point person and thought leader in the definition of marketing strategies for retail brands. Manage the deployment and oversee the execution of data insights and intelligence service offerings
. Provide expertise, guidance and strategic vision in support of organic business development efforts
.

ABOUT YOU:

  • 15+ years of work experience, including significant time in a consulting position performing Retail marketing analysis and applied analytics and solving business problems with analytics within the Retail industry. Proven record in driving new ideas from inception to implementation
  • Ability to provide thought leadership in directing analytic teams on what projects have the most impact to client business, interpreting the results and figuring out how to apply the findings in a live analytic environment.
  • Deep knowledge of both classical inferential statistical techniques (e.g. OLS regression, ANOVA, Factor Analysis, etc.) as well as more recent CPU-intensive techniques (e.g. support vector machines, ensemble modeling, boosting, etc.). Expertise in one or more languages/environments for statistical analysis such as R, Matlab, SAS, etc.
  • Strong client –facing skills and ability to communicate technical material to a wide spectrum of audience profile -- business executives with little quantitative background to deeply technical audiences. Ability to draw from various academic fields and industries to tackle business problems with analytics.
  • Masters of Science or PhD in a quantitative field
