Manager, Pre-sales Engineering for Analytic Services – San Rafael, CA

OVERVIEW:
The Pre Sales Team assists clients in solving complex problems by identifying and implementing new analytic strategies, processes, tactics and enabling technologies to drive improved bottom-line performance, customer satisfaction and loyalty, and employee satisfaction and productivity. Our client list covers a wide range of organizations, including the Financial Services, Retail, Insurance and Government sectors.
This position will partner with the internal Client Partner (sales executive) colleagues to expand client opportunities to build long-term relationships. They'll support Client Partners in building the "trusted partner" relationship and the long term business architecture. The Pre Sales team directly contributes to the revenue generation by expanding the solutions we sell, supporting the increase in our sales pipeline and assisting sales teams to close business.
In this role, you will serve as a key subject matter expert and team member in successfully expanding our customer relationships and acquiring new business. You will support the Client Partner teams on sales opportunities involving analytics in particular for the Financial Services vertical and be able to position analytics within the Banking and Marketing Solution Strategy. As an Analytics Solutions Consultant, you will also provide business and analytical expertise, solution features and benefits information, and deal-specific competitive analysis base.
DAY-TO-DAYS:
• Give presentations, solution demonstrations at customer sites and conferences, as well as continuing education of the sales team on our client's solutions.
• Support the Client Partner teams' responses to RFIs and RFPs, providing product specific domain expertise, and serve as the link between the Client Partners including the product teams and our delivery colleagues.
• Work with product and marketing teams to help create industry specific marketing materials.
• Consult with product management and product development team on product enhancements and competitive feedback.
ABOUT YOU:
• Minimum 7 years experience working as a solution oriented pre-sales consulting with proven success in supporting sales and delivering creative solutions that add value to the client’s business objectives.
• Management consulting and client-side experience, working successfully across all levels of management, is a strong plus
• Support the Client Partner teams with prospect presentations, proposals, sales strategies and tactics, and ensure timely fulfillment of prospect and client needs.
• Create compelling analytic solutions that address client business challenges and communicate that solution effectively to convince key business stakeholders at the client.
• Programming background, ideally SAS and Java
• Candidates should have experience working for Analytics Delivery Firms
