INFORMATION ARCHITECT – BOSTON

OVERVIEW:

Our client in Boston, a large, progressive and well respected Digital powerhouse.  We are seeking an Information Architect to permanently join their well-established, global User Experience team. 
This position will work along side some of the best minds in the Digital business that have, and continue to, create the best customer based, user interfaces for people around the world.

The IA will be responsible for producing wireframes, site maps, user flows, functional requirements and other documentation.  Must be highly knowledgeable in usability, accessibility and search optimization, as well as understanding the role of brand in creating digital experiences. User research and usability testing experience is preferred, but not strictly required. Must work on web technologies intersect with user experience is a must. You should have been part of building a number of large-scale websites, marketing micro-sites, web applications and/or social media experiences.

DAY-TO-DAYS:

The IA will be responsible for wire-framing and documenting interactive deliverables but also participate heavily in the ideation process. The IA will collaborate with art directors, developers, copywriters, media, analytics, account strategists and a number of other agency stakeholders to conceive and refine ideas across the digital channel and beyond.

The Information Architect will be responsible for translating concepts into effective web architecture. In this role, you will contribute to the planning process of various Web sites by organizing information, developing Web site architectures, and developing labeling/search systems.

ABOUT YOU:

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years experience as an information architect, interaction designer, experience designer or a similar role. A background in working with both online and offline media is preferred, but digital experience is most important. Must be well versed in Social media content and applications. Experience with large company, co-branded websites with B-to-B and B-to-C platforms. Having mobile experience is a plus.
  Also, candidates must be extremely polished and possess strong communication skills. Must have experience presenting and pitching work to clients. Degree in a related field, such as Interactive Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design or Human Factors a plus.
